1915-1920's

Frank Henry Reitman worked as a Newspaper Peddler, a Grocery Store Delivery Man and became a Conductor for the U.S. Railroad Systems. During this time, he was introduced to horse racing, which ultimately led him into the world of spirits. In 1915, Frank bought a saloon in Elizabeth Port, NJ.

1930s

Through horse racing (in his later years, Frank Reitman became President of three Racetracks in the U.S. and Canada) — Frank met the Bronfman Family.

1950s

Frank Henry Reitman, also known as "FHR", was a Partner in Galsworthy, a wholesale liquor distributor (which later became Reitman Industries). The tagline and subsequent logo for the firm was The House of "Friendly, Honest & Reliable" Service, which happened to align with Frank's initials "FHR".
His hard-charging reputation and outstanding salesmanship led Frank to be the #1 Salesman in the country for Seagram's 7 and Crown Royal Brands.
Frank's son Ray Reitman, a Dartmouth College 1936 graduate, joined the business after graduation and later became President.

1960-1980

Howard Jacobs joined Reitman Industries. Later, David Lowenstein joined as well. Peg Reitman (Ray's wife), took over Reitman Industries (as a result of Ray's premature death) as Chairman of the Board. Howard Jacobs became the President of Reitman Industries, and David Lowenstein became Executive Vice President. Together, over a 50 year period, they grew Reitman Industries into R&R Marketing.

2000s

Howard Jacobs and David Lowenstein sold R&R Marketing to Charmer Sunbelt Group, which, in turn, merged with Wirtz Beverage Group to form Break Thru Beverage Group. R&R Marketing became a subsidiary: Break Thru Beverage, NJ.

2010

Social Spirits was founded in 2010 by Kim Jacobs: A Sales Professional, a 4th Generation Member of a 100 year old Family Liquor Distributor and the Great-Granddaughter of Frank Reitman. Social Spirits initially began as a Digital Media Firm representing Wine & Spirit Brand across digital platforms.
